AHP1010 recognises human CD193, otherwise known as CC chemokine receptor 3 (CCR3), a seven-helix transmembrane G-protein coupled receptor which, along with CCR5 and CXCR4, acts as a principal receptor for the fusion and entry of HIV into target cells. CD193 is expressed by eosinophils, basophils, mast cells, microglia, Th2helper cells and some epithelial cells.
CD193 acts as a receptor for several CC chemokines including monocyte chemoattractant proteins (MCP) -1, -2, -3 and -4, MIP-1a, MIP-1ß, and RANTES. The eotaxin subgroup of CC chemokines act as specific agonists for CD193, and this interaction has become a focus area for studies into the infection of microglia by HIV (He, J.et al.) and also allergy research (Holse, M.et al.).

This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections.Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.
Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using appropriate negative/positive controls.
Western Blotting
AHP1010 detects a band of approximately 55kDa in human spleen cell lysates (predicted Mwt. 41kDa)
Storage
Store at +4oC or at -20oC if preferred.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended.
This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
Shelf Life
18 months from date of despatch.
Antiserum Preparation
Antisera to human CD193 were raised by repeated immunisations of rabbits with highly purified antigen. Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography.
