The chicken anti-C-myc antibody was raised against the peptide EQLISSEEDL and specifically reacts with the C-terminal epitope (AEEQKLISEEDL) of the human c-myc protein encoded in many expression vectors. Chicken antibodies lack a classic “Fc” domain and will not bind to protein A or protein G, nor will they bind to mammalian IgG Fc receptors.
