Highly fluorescent annexin V conjugates provide quick and reliable detection methods for studying the externalization of phosphatidylserine, one of the earliest indicators of apoptosis. Alexa Fluor 594 dye is a superior red-fluorescent dye that has spectra similar to Texas Red dye, but produces conjugates that are much more fluorescent.
