The APEX™ Antibody Labeling Kit provides a convenient means to directly attach the Alexa Fluor® 555 dye to very small amounts of IgG antibody. This kit utilizes a solid-phase labeling technique that captures the IgG antibody on the resin inside the APEX™ antibody labeling tip and enables one to covalently label antibodies that are supplied in solutions containing stabilizing proteins, such as BSA, or other contaminants which can interfere with the amine-reactive labeling reagents used to attach the fluorophore to the antibody. Any contaminants are simply eluted through the tip. After applying the amine-reactive label, a fluorescent IgG conjugate is ready for use in an imaging application in as little as two hours with very little hands on time.
