7835-1009 recognises the lower molecular weight subunit (26 kD) of protein 14-3-3.
The 14-3-3 family consists of 30kD proteins that are involved in multiple cellular processes including protein kinase signalling pathways, regulation of cell cycle progression, transcription and intracellular trafficking. Protein interactions with 14-3-3 show distinct preferences for its different isoforms and are regulated by phosphorylation of both 14-3-3 and the bound protein.
