5980-0211 is specific for human matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2).
MMP-2 belongs to a family of endopeptidases which are involved in the degradation and remodelling of the ECM. No cross reactivity is seen with MMP 1, 3 or 9 or fibronectin in blots.
