Rabbit anti Dog luteinizing hormone polyclonal antibodywas raised in rabbits against highly purified canine luteinizing hormone. In a simple radioimmune assay with iodinated tracers, the antibody was shown to be specific for canine luteinizing hormone (LH), also known as lutropin and does not react with canine growth hormone (GH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), prolactin or thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH).
Luteinizing hormone is one of the four major glycoprotein hormones and consists of non-covalently linked alpha and beta chains.
Rabbit anti dog luteinizing hormone antibody was raised against the intact hormone but does not cross react with the other major glycoprotein hormones which also contain the common the α chain. Rabbit anti dog luteinizing hormone is expected to show principal reactivity with the LH specific β chain and possibly with additional β chain conformational epitopes dependent on the presence of the shared α chain.

Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using the appropriate negative/positive controls.
Storage
Prior to reconstitution store at +4oC.
After reconstitution store at -20oC.
Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
