4650-0204 recognises glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), an intermediate filament found only in glial cells or cells of glial origin (e.g. astrocytes, ependymal cells and Schwann cells). This antibody stains only astrocytes in formalin-fixed paraffin embedded rat brain cerebellum.
