4175-0127 recognises Enterovirus 71, a virus first isolated in 1969 which is of importance because it can be fatal.
Enterovirus 71 has been found in the spinal cord and medulla and can produce a range of symptoms from rashes to meningitis and encephalitis.
This antibody also cross-reacts with Coxsackie A16.
