4108-2004 is an interesting marker for the characterisation of healthy tissues. When used in combination with other monoclonal antibodies it enables the characterisation of tumorous tissue. Expression of the KG7/30 antigen decreases with increasing malignancy of endothelium-derived tumour cells.
This antibody stains endothelial cells in healthy tissues of all organs, apart from small capillaries. The antigen expression is more pronounced in venous than in arterial vessel types and decreases in tumourous tissues.

The epitope recognised by this antibody is reported to be sensitive to formaldehyde fixation and tissue processing. AbD Serotec recommends the use of acetone fixation for frozen sections.
Where this product has not been tested for use in a particular technique this does not necessarily exclude its use in such procedures. Suggested working dilutions are given as a guide only. It is recommended that the user titrates the product for use in their own system using the appropriate negative/positive controls.
