Amyloid-β (Ab) is a small polypeptide (40-42 aa) that is cleaved from the larger protein APP (amyloid precursor protein). Particularly the multimeric forms of Ab are believed to play an active role in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer disease and Ab fibrils are a major constituent of the amyloid plaques seen in the brain of Alzheimer patients.
Mouse monoclonal antibody to human Amyloid-beta, clone bm-AbetaN. Suitable for the detection and analysis of Amyloid-ß in various samples and for staining amyloid plaques.
