Apolipoprotein B (apoB) is the main protein component of low density lipoprotein particles (LDL) and it is a large water insoluble molecule of 512 kD (apoB-100) produced mainly in the liver and in the intestine (apoB-48). ApoB is regarded as a negative factor in cardiovascular disease. ApoB-100 is normally 98% of the apoB in plasma and at a concentration of approximately 1 mg/ml.
All kits include purified human apoB as a standard.
ELISA kit for quantitative determination of human or monkey apolipoprotein B in plasma/serum samples and cell culture supernatant.
The kit contains capture mAb, biotinylated detection mAb, streptavidin-enzyme conjugate ALP and a purified ApoB as a standard.
For the determination of apoB in serum/plasma samples by this kit we recommend the use of Assay buffer (code: 3652-J2) for dilution of samples, standard and detection antibody.
