In ELISpot, positive controls serve the dual purpose of demonstrating the functionality of the assay system as well as the quality of the cells used.

Anti-CD3 antibodies may be used as a very efficient polyclonal activator of T cells and are a good alternative to other polyclonal stimuli such as PHA or ConA. This anti-CD3 antibody is included in some of our kits but may also be purchased separately.
Useful as positive control for IFN-γ production by human T cells in the ELISpot assay. It can also be used for stimulation of other T cell cytokines, e.g.; IL-2, IL-4, IL-5, IL-10, IL-13 and IL-17A.
