Human MIP-1β (macrophage inflammatory protein-1β) is produced by activated monocytes/macrophages and by CD8+ T cells in response to antigenic stimuli. Based on its secretion by activated T cells it can serve as an important complement to e.g. IFN-γ and Perforin when analyzing specific, cytotoxic immune responses.
All kits include a recombinant cytokine standard. No international standard exists for calibration.
Cross-reactivity has been assessed and confirmed with certain non-human primate species.
Mabtech’s enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, ELISA PRO, is a complete kit for the quantification of human MIP-1β in biological fluids such as serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants. The assay utilizes ELISA strip plates precoated with a capture monoclonal antibody (mAb), a biotinylated mAb for detection, streptavidin-horseradish peroxidase (SA-HRP), TMB substrate, cytokine standard, buffers, diluents, stop solution and adhesive plate covers.
