Interleukin-4 (IL-4) is produced by activated T cells, especially differentiated CD4+ TH2-type cells, and stimulated mast cells and basophils. The most important effects of IL-4 are the regulation of helper T cell differentiation to the TH2 type and the regulation of IgE and IgG4 production by B cells.
Reacts with Human, cross reacts with certain non-human primates.
Mouse monoclonal antibody to human Interleukin-4, clone IL4-II (12.1) biotinylated. Suitable as detection antibody in ELISA and ELISpot (in combination with clone IL4-I (82.4), code 3410-3).
