1744-9006 reacts withC. jejunitype 1 (K807, K858, K634),C. coli, C. hyointestinalis, C. lardis, C. jejunitype 2. It cross reacts withS. aureusand weakly withP. fluorescens.
1744-9006 reacts with a soluble excreted antigen in EIA. This antibody is unaffected by frozen storage of specimens, unlike antibodies to flagellar antigens which require fresh cultured organisms.
