1695-0520 is specific for Ovarian Cancer Antigen CA-125, also known as Mucin-16. Clone X75 recognises epitope specificity group B (ISOBM classification) similar to M-11.
Mucin 16 is a serum marker, overexpressed in epithelial ovarian cancer cells and is routinely used for patient monitoring. CA-125 was originally identified by Bast et al. using a monoclonal antibody developed against the ovarian cancer cell line OVCA433.
