Description: CD305 or Leukocyte-associated Ig-like receptor-1 (LAIR-1) is a 46 kD cell surface molecule that functions as an inhibitory collagen-receptor on the majority of cells of the immune system. The mouse LAIR-1 molecule is expressed primarily on monocytes/macrophages and also on T cells, NK cells and dendritic cells. Unlike human B cells , mouse B cells do not express LAIR-1. The cytoplasmic tail of mouse LAIR-1 can be phosphorylated leading to the recruitment of SH2-containing tyrosine phosphatase(SHP)-2 and C-terminal Src kinase.
