Description: The polyclonal antibody recognizes human, mouse and rat p53DINP1 (p53-dependent damage-inducible nuclear protein 1) also known as TP53INP1 (tumor protein p53 inducible nuclear protein 1). This protein exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms, TP53INP1alpha and TP53INP1beta, found in the nucleus regulating p53 transcriptional activity. Overexpression leads to apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in G1 while downregulation has been observed in the early stages pancreatic ductal carcinoma. Decreased p53DINP1expression results in increased cell migration and hence metastasis, thereby indicating a role for p53DINP1 in apoptosis and tumor suppression.
This antibody was generated using a peptide at the amino terminus of human p53DINP1 and can recognize the alpha isoform at about 27 kDa and in some lysates also the beta form at about 18 kDa.
