Clone REA942 recognizes the mouse CD182 (CXCR2) antigen, which belongs to the class of chemokine receptors specific for CXC chemokines. Chemokine receptors are G-coupled protein receptors (GPCR) with seven-transmembrane domains and consist of an α-subunit and a βγ-complex. Binding of interleukin 8 (IL-8) to CD182 leads to the activation of neutrophil granulocytes. CD182 is also a ligand for CXCL3, GRO/MGSA, and NAP-2.
Additional information: Clone REA942 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.
