Description: This SK11 monoclonal antibody reacts with human and non-human primate CD62L (also known as L-selectin and LECAM). CD62L is expressed on neutrophils, monocytes, and subsets of T, B, and NK cells, as well as endothelial cells. This cell surface adhesion molecule binds glycolsylated, fucosylated and sulfated sialylated glycoproteins, including CD34, glycam-1, and MadCAM-1. These interactions mediate rolling of lymphocytes on activated endothelium at the sites of inflammation and homing of cells to the high endothelial venules (HEV) of peripheral lymphoid tissues.
The SK11 antibody has been reported to recognize chimpanzee, rhesus, cynomolgus monkey, olive baboon, and pigtailed macaque as well as pig.
