0600-7104F is specific for alpha 1 antichymotrypsin (AACT).
AACT is a member of the serpin superfamily of serine proteinase inhibitors. It protects the lower respiratory tract from proteolytic damage by inhibiting chymotrypsin-like proteinases, and also plays a role in the acute phase response.
