Description: Used as a substrate for citrate lyase¹, a buffer component; an anticoagulant.^2,3 To make a sodium citrate buffer use equimolar concentrations (typically approximately 0.05 M concentration) of citric acid, free acid and sodium citrate. Add equal volumes of each solution and titrate to the desired pH. For anticoagulation use it is typically used at a concentration of approximately 0.129 M (i.e. for 4.5 ml blood use 16.0 mg sodium citrate and 2.1 mg citric acid).

柠檬酸钠与别的试剂配伍可用于提取、纯化动物肝脏核糖核酸，柠檬酸钠具有水溶性好、对水中的Ca2+、Mg2+等金属离子具有优良的螯合能力、能发生生物降解、分散能力及抗再沉积能力强等特点。

用途：广泛用于食品、饮料、香料行业作为酸味剂、调味剂及防腐剂、保鲜剂、缓冲剂、螯合剂。在化工行业、化妆品行业及洗涤行业中作抗氧化剂、增塑剂、洗涤剂。医药行业中作抗凝剂。化工、皮革、印刷、无毒电镀及原子能等工业。
