UDPG：葡萄糖的活化形式，UDPG分子中葡萄糖基上的C1原子，因其羟基与UDP的磷酸集团形式酯键而活化。高能态的UDPG可容易的将其糖基供给糖原的合成。在许多双糖和多糖的合成中，UDPG都起着糖基供体的作用。如体内充作葡萄糖供体。最后在糖原合酶（glycogen synthase）作用下，UDPG的葡萄糖基转移给糖原引（primer）的糖链末端，形成α-1,4糖苷键。

用途：科研实验用，甲基辅酶M的还原刺激剂。
