C3a is an anaphylatoxin derived from proteolytic degradation of complement C3 that increases vascular permeability and causes histamine release from mast cells and basophilic leukocytes.
0200-0615 recognises recognizes a C3a-determinant which is present also on native C3. H13 allows discrimination of ubiquitous or nonspecifically bound native C3 from biologically active C3b fragment, C3b or C are negative with H13
Clone H13 is reported to block C3a functional activity.
