Secretin is a polypeptide hormone produced by the S-cells of the duodenum in response to a low pH. This stimultes bicarbonate secretion from various sources that acts as a buffer in order to maintain a constant pH.

This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment. Sodium citrate buffer pH6.0 is recommended for this purpose.
